Apparent Age: 19

Gender: Male
Height: 186 cm (6'1")
Weight: 89 kg (196 lbs)
Appearance:
Kariba is a young, promising Marine in am overall general appearance thanks to his toned body, appearing to be quite muscular in both upper and lower parts. Several years of training his body in a very specific set training program is what has given him his great strength followed by this obviously toughened figure. An odd part about it is the higher part, the torso namely consisting of the shoulders, chest stomach and back, is better toned than the lower one and the arms themselves. It's still not surprising to see the lesser parts still muscular as well, just not as much as the rest. Kariba personally despises bragging about his body but does enjoy its benefits quite much although attempting to stay modest. Upon his outer form you can clearly see that the man has grown in a fine environment, basically because of the lack of any odd scars or injuries that would note so. In addition, his lack of any tattoos or body paintings can also somehow note about his personality and past. Kariba's back is mostly the strongest part about him, the only perfectly muscled area around him that the man cared for, from tactical battle reasons only. Lastly about Kariba's body, you may tell where he came from relying only on his skin color, that being rather white, much like the high majority of the people around thd world. He can get tanned if he wanted to basically because his skin isn't completely white,he just appearently won't do so from personal choice only. The man stands at roughly six feet and an inch and weighs around 196 pounds if one was to try pick him up. Obviously, he makes up all that weight not with fat but condensed muscle - and a little bit of his bones.
Moving on to the head, Kariba shows many features you won't see in combination about most people's faces. To start off, his neck, following the musculus trapezius, just like the rest of his body doesn't show any scars, tattoos, cuts or bruises that should be taken into note. It is, like the body, white in skin and shows nothing special. It also appears in regular, average size. Following the neck is the chin, the very start of the face from below. Kariba's rather hasty attitude is the cause of very small bristles, located - or rather spread - all over the area between the neck and chin. These bristles are perhaps few in number and nearly invisible from most ranges, but standing face to face with the man with almost no distance will allow one to see them despite being transparent-like. They match the color of the hair and eyebrows. Aside for that, no special feature is seen about his chin. Moving upwards from that is located the mouth, also being average just like most people. His lips aren't outstanding to perfection, not oddly wrinkled nor are they too big, small or projecting: they are plain. How Kariba shapes them with expression is a different story. Quite the funny detail is, though, despite his jaws shaped like all humans in his bones' built, his teeth differ from all others very simply because of the sharper than usual fang teeth he shows, occassionally sticking out when his mouth is closed and when he chooses to. Above the mouth to no one's surprise comes the nose, in Kariba's casethe part being average as well, perhaps only a bit smaller than the norm. His nose is smooth and his lines, the bones connecting the nose and forehead are semi-projecting/bulging, reflecting light pretty well. Kariba personally doesn't understand how a good, perfect-shape nose should look like despite apparently having one himself. Kariba's cheeks are pure skin, giving others to very easily use the oppirtunity of pinching him, giving the muscular body a reflecting cute detail.
Despite all those details, clearly there is no man living in this world without some details people would find unattractive and perhaps even weird, and the exact same fact - and law - applies to the man as well, quite clearly. In this one's classic case, it all takes place as you look at the upper parts of his face, those features being as obvious as light to notice. To start off, Kariba's ears would be found very weird in most, if not almost every human or giant that looks at him. While most people have ears round like a monkey's and placed right near the head - almost attached to the sides of the head, Kariba's ears are shaped entirely different, first off having almost a 90 degree space between the head sides and the ears. His are longer than most people's only due to their greatly pointy shape, only having the edge of the ear similar and also not precisely. You could say Kariba is an elf as a joke of some sort, anyone may call him that and he will just shrug it off. The ears are not the only weird parts about his headband body though, not to anybody's surprise. In fact those parts, despite lookong that strange in people's eyes are only the second highest in Kariba's face, for something truly extraordinary exists on the soldier's face, located at the higher center of his forehead - perhaps higher, that can't be told thanks to his hair which hides it well: on top of Kariba's head there can be found a single horn. Not a large horn like you would first come up with, nothing too big and showy that notes he's a devil of some sort. It's also not one that's similar to any animal's fangs or claws either, especially not in shape. The man's horn is short, not exceeding five centimeters in overall height and width, thus appearing like a small silver pointy dot in the middle of the hairstyle from afar or until inspected. The horn itself is silver colored and after noticed - never ignored. These two freaking details ensure Kariba is not seen in a normal eye in humans' eyes - the majorities at least - and his other distinctive features don't support his self image very much, not with those colors. Kariba's hair color is red, perhaps with such a powerful hue that it reaches the lines of blood red. It is oddly styled, divided in two parts that appear on the head: the lesser, frontal piece and the backside's mane-like wilder style. The horn is seen coming out from the middle of those two pieces together. Each of the two pieces individually can serve as a hairstyle on its own, and yet both show themselves on a single head, comically giving Kariba the option of changing his hairstyle to two different forms other than his casually seen set one. The frontal piece includes long nag reaching in its longest a little further than the nose bones' start, following symmetrically to its shorter edges, the end of the eyebrows' area and reaching only a little above it. The strands in length exceed the eyebrows in the appropriate location in accordance to the symmetry and invade the man's eyesight a little. Nothing too serious. If the frontal piece alone was the hairstyle, it would include sleek hair reaching the end of the neck. The back part of his hair is seen coming out as if it was the main piece right after the frontal forehead hair strands. It takes the majority of the hair on Kariba's head in style, so much as although the frontal piece is noticeable, by paying attention one would see it takes less than twenty five percent of the hair. Kariba's 'second hairstyle' makes its way in length all the way to the back of the man's neck, where it stops. Rhis is most likely how he wants it to be, but it is still a little odd that one part of his hair is so much different from the other: while the front would have sleek strands, the back includes a mane-like all-back hairstyle, possibly fixed and remade every morning with hair gel, a little puffy and exceeding the horn in height, and almost getting to the ears' middle in width. The edges are trimmed all over the 'mane'.
The last parts about Kariba's face wraps up his weird image in other people's eyes. Individually, each one wouldn't make that kind of impression but when put together with a horn and pointy ears it's obvious that negative comments and fedback will arrive unavoidable. To start off,the most noticeable part left to mention is without a doubt - Kariba's eyes. When gazed at, one could notice his eyes are blue in color, with several bits of white spread over the main color. The pupil seems to be smaller most of the time, almost as if the man is on some kind of energy drug. However, the important detail noting the eyes are a bit larger than the normal, average size should also be considered. The bits of white mix into the outer zone of the round, blue color it gives off normally. Another detail closing physical appearance is the size and shape of the head itself, the size being average, accepted in the norm: seven times can the head fit in the body, like the high majority of other humanoid creatures - including humans themselves. It's shape is also the average one. Two strands of hair drop down from the edges of the forehead, reaching all the way down to the end of the neck, passing right next to the ears. To top things off, Kariba's usual facial expression and body pose come to hand. Kariba's movements also affect regular physical appearance well, for if they didn't the man would be nothing more than an idle image. The redhead is right handed, therefore most of his hand motions are done with the right one being swifter, performing all higher rate movements such as waving or swirling - while the left hand seems to flow better than just run around. Regularly, the left hand is taken by some carried items whilst the right one is open to all and any action needed to be taken care of. As for battle and actual action scenes, the importance of the movement flow is irrelevant and supposedly doesn't even exist at those times. His legs don't have any priority in moves, being almost equal. Kariba appears most of the time in a very well known pose, with his chest stuck out and his hands crossed over it, back straight up and legs as well, the feet forming a 'V' shape with the distance between them. In other words, quite the arrogant pose, but that's how he likes going around. The final part about the man's body appearance is his facial expression used regularly, that being the one that goes with his bodily pose the most. Although one would expect a man with such an overconfident pose to have the personality of either a hero, a respected figurr in the world or an arrogant bastard, this one's personality-matching expression prevents it from happening in 100 percent. Kariba's happy-go kind of attitude gives himthe expression of a hyped kid, that being with his eyes always 'shining' and if not showing a wide smile it would be a grin or a joyous face, with the moth showing the smiling teeth quite clearly.
As far as material beauty and fashion goes, Kariba would most likely make his usual appearance in three entirely different attires, each matching the man quite well. That is taken for granted though, as only one of those three is one he himself had to buy with actual Beli. He wears them daily depending on the situation, knowing very well when it is time to put either one, simply because he wants to. After all, it is the clothes that make the man and not his personality - necessarily, at least. While he believes in variety and tends to keep clean - that includes washing his clothes, Kariba still only wears those three attires without change, quite obviously changing clothes for having a few multiples of the same attire, the more official one having the highest amount.
The most usual outfit seen on Silver Elf is the normal, accepted Marine Enisgn attire consisting of very basic items shown. Kariba, as an Ensign knows he has to bear this burden of going around looking the same as all others, butbthat's a sacrifice one must take if they ever aim to go higher in the army ranks. As such, it is obvious Kariba wears the regular, buttoned white shirt, tight on his body and showing his build slightly on the chest area whereas on the rest of what's shown it is simply the same as everyone else's: with two cloth triangles reaching down from the end of the biege shirt, covering a little of the regular leg wear, the top button never dared be closed for that shows signs of extreme depression, the collar folded in a mannerred way like most buttoned shirts with two triangles formed as a result of the fold each reaching diagonally down to a different direction - symmetrically - of this hardened-cloth-made shirt, the cloth itself even made to reduce as much damage as possible while still allowing free movement, and finally showing the arms completely from the palm of the hand to the shoulder's end via several back folds of the semi, bicep-reaching sleeve. On the back side, right between the back's bones can be seen in little font the Marine symbol. The marine usual leg wear, more like the pants, are also present on Kariba's body, fitting as this piece is also a part of the normal Ensign attire displayed. The regular marine pants, consisting of dark blue leather a little less protective than the shirt for obvious reasons - giving more free space of movement for the wearer, is always stretched to its fullest, not showing any folds or creases. It is in overall length a full 8/8, reaching the very end of a soldier's calves and almost infiltrating the ankles area, but the actual size given is 7/8 and creating a more baggy effect to them. As one lowers their sight further to the feet area, it is noticeable that the lower the height means wider space, a baggy effect, displayed in its highest at the middle of the calves area where it seemingly enters the shoes. These pants are tightened on their wearer with the help of five buttons and a brown, leather belt. They also show four pockets: two on the normal front area and two on the normal rear area, each of these pockets being measured in length - in Kariba's case, each being 27 centimeters deep. The outfit also shows a normal Marine hat, a baseball hat-shaped one with light green colors on the back and white biege on the front, the marine insignia on the front, and lastly of leather black boots, tightened via a long shoelaces, reaching in height to the pants area and apparently 'swallowing' it in, actually keeping it tight with two rubber bands.
The second outfit is one Kariba wears casually, when off-duty and on his free time. If he wasn't in the Marine, it is safe to assume he would have wore this one most of if not all the time, as his normal attire. In simpler terms, this is his citizen clothes. This outfit is pretty simple, with nearly nothing shown on the upper body, but rather focusing on covering the lower body and the usually shown parts of the arms. As such, the design itself is unique as taken for granted, if only one knew the attire itself doesn't origin in neither of the surface seas. Starting on the upper body, it is to be noted that there is almost nothing covering the torso itself, only having two pieces of quite the wide cloth wrapped around the torso coming from the pants and crossed around each other twice in an 'X' fashion - once on the front and once on the back. It is fairly loose, almost as if being there simply so Kariba would have an excuse to say there is something covering him. As expected from Sky Island fashion, the cloth is almost pure white color. Though that alone does not wrap up the entire clothing pieces series on the upper body, though just on the torso itself. Kariba's forearms also have coverage on them, something like gauntlets but different, simply since this type of wear reaches all the way to the elbow and doesn't seem to be protective whatsoever, as it should. This 'gauntlet' on both forearms is spread over the forearm and all the way to the palm of the hand, covering the back and palm but not reaching any further than the edge of the finger joints. It appears to be dark brown leather around the forearms, slightly ripped in its ends as if ripped off some animal's skin before wore. In length it reaches from the elbow's end to the wrist's start. Few would notice those rips though, as almost entirely is the gauntlet covered by biege bandages, wrapped all around the piece shortly after the start of the leather wear - and reaching to the palms. In other words, those bandages appear tocover the leather pieces nearly entirely. On the elbows, a sphere of some hardened material appears, almost like it is there for actual protection - which is true considering Silver Elf's abilities. The sphere has golden outlines and is red in its filling color, wrapped around the elbows with the help of stripes. The lower body clothing consists of the higher majority of coverage on Kariba's body, for no apparent reason even if one would ask the man himself. To start off, the crossing cloth strips of the torso are held by the pants, though indirectly by a belt the Marine wears. This belt is blue in color and made of the same cloth type as the torso strips, tightening on the waist but appearing as if loose to normal people. The trick is done in a special wrapping of the belt's inner cloth although the lock appears on the front, in the middle and looking like elbow guards. The pants themselves are also nearly pure white in color and coincidentally are as baggy as Marine uniform pants, the two things differing them is cloth color and material. The length and style is all the same. Though, it is important to note the casual outfit pants are shown to be entering the guards at 6/8 length, one size less than with the duty attire. Kariba's second outfit also shows black leather wrapped in biege bandages, reaching the middle of the calves in both legs and looking as if 'absorbing' the pants into itself, just like with Marine pants and boots. However, the black leather is more similar to the forearm wear, styled the same way and even made of the same material. The black leather on the legs ends at the feet's toe joints with considerable open area at the heel and feet, wrapping around the end of the heel and the start of the toe joints on both legs. The bandages also reach to the ankles on this piece. As such, it is quite obvious to notice Kariba walks around barefooted when in his normal Sky Island outfit.
The third and last attire is worn at the most expected time of the one of its kind: when the man decides to go to sleep or lay to rest. One could easily guess right after hearing the timing of wearing such a piece of clothing, the subject is simply sleeping clothes. It is obviously true. Kariba's sleeping outfit would not look too fitting for the man but that is simply how he prefers it, the attire being very simple. It merely includes a white T-shirt, short sleeved and only meant to be comfortable, and a pair of green colored shorts from the infamous 'DOSUKOI PANDA' clothes company. With that alone he sleeps.
It merely includes a white T-shirt, short sleeved and only meant to be comfortable, and a pair of green colored shorts from the infamous 'DOSUKOI PANDA' clothes company. With that alone he sleeps.
Behavioral Characteristics
Most Marines under the world government take their job extremely seriously, thinking justice is the absolute answer to everything and that with it the world can finally be at peace. They believe that by keeping an enforced law the citizens of the world will eventually get used to, they can keep the upper hand of control and see to it the whole world will be at ease - as much as they can, of course, under the watch of the hateful World Nobles. Other, a little less serious Marine soldiers tend to take things more easily, not giving too much worry to things like absolute justice, complete domination or utopia: these soldiers prefer to just live their lives and go on with their service, just flowing with whatever command they receive from their higher ups. These Marines oddly seem to be the higher ranks, entering the Admiral levels already, and god knows why they just do as they're told. There are many ways to comprehend justice, these two being mere examples. The world government's elite squad takes pride in a term called dark justice, which would easily be considered as evil ways to enforce fear and therefore law and order. As for Kariba, he honestly doesn't give a fuck.
Kariba is absolutely impassive of his justice perception and in fact, he couldn't care much less about it as it is for him right now despite his rank which should already be wearing the Justice kanji on his back. As a result of his indifference, the man must be underestimated within the Marine HQ and by regular Marines overall, but it is barely something of importance to him as Silver Elf is aware of his understanding of the words 'peace' and 'evil'. Kariba does not consider all pirates as 'evil', and thinks not all criminals deserve punishment for their deeds as he knows all too well not all criminals commit what they commit out of free will, but out of having no choice which means the world government itself made a mistake. Sure, there obviously are some evil pirates with devastation of the world government and the order as their goal and they obviously take top priority not by will but by orders from higher ups, but unless there is a clear reason for capture or killing Kariba will not try too hard. However, although his perception of evil doesn't include all pirates and criminals, Silver Elf does take his job pretty seriously when actually working, for his will to become a legend. It is to be mentioned though, Kariba is very well aware that the word 'peace' does not fit his standards and expectations from the organization/force he works in and in all truth, from how people perceive it it begins to look quite the opposite: landing laws and order using fear and pointless rules and threats is definitely not peace, but even evil. He is very well aware of the Marines' job, to fight and protect the citizens of the world with their bodies, but not every criminal is opposing a threat to an island while not every justice base causes true law and peaceful order. In the redhead's eyes, 'True Peace' is what he can identify his justice perception as, with the critical moment when a pirate and a marine would exchange cups together like brothers. When people will realize what's evil and what's true justice.
As a person, Kariba is a very lively person, going with a happy-go-lucky attitude. He accepts whatever the world throws at him happily with the main thought that eventually things will get better, even if at some times it absolutely seems like the man is hanging by a thread, simply because of his happy personality. Kariba is a fun person to hang ou around, if you can talk to him casually and accept his jolly attitude, guaranteeing a smile that almost never wears off. He likes people and beyond that to get new friends, and his way of doing so is just being the normal energetic person his impression gives, living up to the image, though some people could find his optimism pretty annoying, especially in life threatening situations, or just oif one despises him acting that way. Kariba loves to live his life, and therefore cannot complain at whatever the world serves no matter how good or bad it is in his eyes, because he had already experienced a first encounter with his greatest fear. Kariba boasts a powerful kind of determination whenever he attempts something, making an impression on others being a high exceptional case. He likes attention and gains that through rather energetic acts and a very believable happy front, going with a rather cheerful way to approach most things, most of the time while they're inappropriate. Silver Elf loves people and wants to protect them, which is why the man currently serves at the current rank. To those dear to him he will give the proud, slightly boastful attitude but on the other hand also an immensely caring side, always considerate of whatever they have to say or what's important to them, for some reason feeling a strong sense of responsibility over them even if the man does look a little carefree. He will try creating a sort of camouflage over his much more reliable and worrying side only so he could allow the others to loosen up, even if it will appear a little annoying. He truly cares for them deeply, and getting him to open up takes quite the time.
Different kinds of people around making up Kariba's world obviously get different kinds of treatments directly from the man, going with a different attitude towards most. As a result, one could think this man has many different masks he puts on by purpose, but it's in truth just a reaction to different personalities, occupations and the like. He has no say in this, how he reacts to those people is completely natural and might be entirely just an illusion in his head. Kariba's regular personality is preserved of course, and he appears happy most of the time with an indifferent opinion about justice, but the fact some people see different sides of this so-called 'joy' of his comes to display in different ways, depends on who he encounters. It could vary from fellow Marines to evil Pirates, from slick merchants to the most honest of criminals. Traits such as respect, way of speech and actions change accordingly depending on who enters the scenes. More specifically saying, Kariba acts in a different, matching way to whoever he meets while still staying the same happy man he is, the only things changing are speech tone, language, reactions and the like. One could think of it like a habit, but that's his true transparent form.
First of all comes fellow Marine soldiers, which due to his home during the latest years turns out to be the group of people he has seen the most, that including any and all ranks available for display. Kariba has some issues with getting along with the justice keepers, not just because of his opinion on justice but because of his past and way of approach as well. While he would not try to show it, despite his time in the seevice Kariba still loaths the same incinserity most soldiers share with their tasks being done and them, even if they don't like it, will just cooperate. He dislikes the fact most if not almost all Marines won't stand up and talk for themselves due to fear of getting punished, giving the organization of justice a somewhat forceful touch, as if being a terror force ruling with fear. Overall, the citizens seem to like them though, but in Kariba's mind he came to the conclusion that sooner or later abuse will arrive and the world government will turn corrupted, as nobody can hold that much power without using it for themselves. After his opinion on the soldiers and the army comes the issue with the soldiers' and the army's opinion on the man, especially since his name was pretty well known in the past. While trying to get along - few becaue they have to - Kariba's past affects the attitude given to him by fellow soldiers by a lot, being a former pirate but still exposed to government secrets and reaching the ranks of Justice. A good chance is that the soldiers have a hard time trusting Silver Elf, even if they have to and the man can't really blame them. Then there's the mockery he receives critically by higher ranks, most likely due to the same distrust and jealousy. It is safe to assume Head Fleet Admiral himself has the same way of thinking, but since he gave the redhair a second chance he might see him as more than just another soldier. All of these details affect how Kariba sees his fellow Marine 'friends' and his way of treating them, but it has absolutely non on his proffessional skills considering his rank, way of work and overall proffessional treatment towards soldiers under his care, if at all. Due to the way he's taken in other, lower soldiers' (in rank) opinion, Kariba as a soldier often works alone. He might be one of the better soldiers the Marines have to offer, getting the job done almost all the time and properly commanding those under him (if boarding a ship with higher ups), but most of the time ends up unwillingly performing. Sure, the man most of the time appears with the same smile on his face and it's true he would love to make some friends there he could really open up to, but all the while he works and roams around the different bases Kariba would seem a lot less energetic and active unless there's work that needs to be done, and his tone towards matching approaches would show a lot less respect and might even sting a little with the impassive language he uses. Then again, there is one person Kariba will do as much as he can to impress out of sheer gratitude and respect, that being Joku himself. Overall, Kariba has very few (rather almost no) actual friends while at work and zero or all when working. He would want to befriend some of them though, if only they weren't so narrow minded.
The next group of people making up a large part of the man's world is obviously criminals, and pirates specifically along with lone pursuers. When it comes to acts alone the criminal had done, Silver Elf will still remain neutral about how he feels about them, not exactly caring much until the case is further investigated. He doesn't trust the criminals and pirates at first, obviously, but he's also definitely not on their side of the story when it comes to analyzing details prior to first encounter. It should be noted that there is a high chance currently Pirates would attempt trying to take advantage of the former criminal thanks to his past and because of his current despised occupation. The majority of criminals and pirates appear to condemn deeds against the world order by purpose just to be evil, and while he understands this much and acknowledges Head Fleet Admiral's Absolute Justice approach, Kariba still states he remains impassive about the punishment they deserve, just because there's always a chance they're not doing all that to be evil, but because they have to in order to survive, which ironically puts the World Government's state in question of how it cares for the whole world. In short, Kariba won't judge directly just because there's a chance that misery drives them. On the other hand, he can very easily be enraged by anything that is proven to be done just to break the order, things such as declaring war on the Marines directly or assaulting a World Noble for example are not things that will ne further examined and can drive Kariba mad in anger, enough to seriously attempt a pursuit for the kill. He treats pirates and criminals as regular people, normal citizens with the exception of distrust before actually getting to know them, only judging after getting enough information - which is, in other Marines' perception, a very bad habit of his. Although, in most cases he does end up sinking ships mercilessly. If there's one thing that can absolutely destroy Kariba's lively smile and change it into immediate wrath it would definitely be hurting citizens for no real reason, claiming territory and tempting Marines not counting as justified reasons. He currently loves the pirate and criminal approach of never-ending freedom and adores their unlimited options, but truly loaths the anarchy and destruction that comes with it and abused mostly. He feels great shame for he too had once done exactly that.
Civillians and the like, those non important characters he barely gets to know receive a more straight forward and neutral attitude, simply because the Marine can't see too much they have in common nor can he afford to know regular citizens by his free will due to him being busy with work and unwanted training most of the time. He would want to befriend some of them, the nicer ones that is that won't be bothered by his pointy ears and horn, but it's very likely he would have to give up this pleasure so long as he serves as a Marine, for only if he's off duty the man can take some time as a regular man, wearing normal (kind of) clothes like everyone. Just like Pirates and criminals, Kariba would only judge a civillian after enough research but in this case to a much lesser extent, not needing to worry about whatever they do so long as the base gives no information. His attitude towards regular, uninterrupted people would be absolutely neutral and the same happy smile will be pasted upon his face, though it is safe to say he would not be as hyper as usual, just a tad energetic and 'shiny' in his actions as he doesn't necessarily know a good way to get in touch with such random people.
Kariba's overall personality is summed up in an energetic, joyous man who's presence is almost never ignored for one reason or the other, with an attitude especially made for different groups of people but all of that is not the end as words can't even come to describe the odd change that occurs in his body when the man overdoes it a little with alcohol. As a drunk man, this Marine will act entirely different, though following the normal stagger most drunkards have. One seeing Kariba as a drunk man and not in his sober state could easily point out how mature he is and in an incredibly ironic way, how good of a thinker he is, managing to analyze the more complicated things in matter of seconds. Drunk Kariba is a much, much more lax and patient man than his sober self, not showing any signs of extra energy but definitely displaying livelyhood with his actions and speech. As a drunk man, Kariba is likely to use words he never would on a normal basis, such as calling someone a 'spitfire', or referring to a loathed character as 'devil'. This drunk Marine appears to function with his mind much better than with his body, staggerring and stumbling upon his own feet at times but not to his worry. His more mature attitude did not forget that a joker child hides inside, and despite sufferring humiliations in his drunk state it is to say he can simply laugh it off and not let any insult get to him, as just like in his sober state this man is aware of his real abilities all too well. Drunk Kariba will display larger amounts of confidence in pretty much anything, be it himself, what he's drinking, the place he resides at or the people around him, which to some people if not most could appear very ignorant, especially if the situation is not the best to say the least, and where this sudden confidence comes from is unknown. The drunk man will also display a little bit of tactlessness, not caring what others think of what he has to say but still feeling a certain amount of superiority that allows him to pinpoint other subject's failures with no shame on his face at all. As a result, he's also grasped as a rude person to a certain extent, and mostly gets himself into trouble. However, with this tactless speech, overworking genius mind and overconfidence also comes amazing leadership skills, enough to command someone of five ranks above him currently in success and proving to be right in his methods. For some reason, Drunk Kariba appears to be a smarter man with an entirely different view on the world, in his drunk state committing to defeating Pirates no matter who they may be: he's heartless and ruthless as a drunkard when it comes to his job and occupation. On the other hand, he's also much more trustworthy for there is only truth behind his words while the likelyhood of him hiding anything are slim, very slim in fact. Drunk Kariba has an easier time bonding with random people so long as they don't mind his sharper tongue and his odd tendency to analyze things on sight - not being concerned about it at all. How Kariba treats others in his drunk state depends on how he sees them as a sober person, how they see him and how they react to his drunk state (the latter being the least effective amongst the three parameters), noting that he still recognizes himself as the very same Marine he displays himself as, just with a different personality. The most surprising thing about Drunk Kariba though would not be the major change in personality, but the sudden and mysterious absence of his greatest weakness: as a drunk man, this Marine will no longer get stressed in front of woman, not at all. In fact, it's quite the opposite: Drunk Kariba is a real ladies' man, with high determination to get what he wants from them but knowing where the red line would stand. To those who are familiar with both Karibas, the state of mind on alcohol concerning the man would most likely be that upon getting drunk, the real maturity in Kariba comes out to switch with his childish energy. He becomes a real adult in this state, only to ever forget everything he had done the second he turns back to his sober self.
Despite his overall cheerfulness, this person too is a human being and therefore has things that can drive him nuts as well as several things that can get his spirit down. Amongst those things that can be used against Kariba to turn his spirit down would be constantly breaking him mentally, proving his methods to be completely useless fused with psychologically destroying his mind. Despite being a good soldier with a powerful mind, he's still very vulnerable emotionally, to the extent of being capable of going on an uncontrollable raging rampage if one was to push the wrong buttons too much. While he's emotionally stable, if he got to a situation where a woman would be developping his hopes up and then crushing them at once he would break down. The same would happen if he would see 'god' (Joku of the Light) falling down, only then, depending on what kind of injury he's taking in battle, Kariba could either fall to his knees in absolute despair or before that destroy everything in sight as much as he can muster stamina out of himself. Kariba would also fall to sadness if he was to rampage that much, rejecting any direct contact with people for at least a day later, no matter who they are. Kariba's strongest technique 'Avvadon' would only be seen if he was driven to a point his rage focuses on destruction as a result of either attacking the harmless too much, assaulting the World Nobles to the point of near death or taking out one of the people most dear to him in-front of his eyes.
Kariba is absolutely impassive of his justice perception and in fact, he couldn't care much less about it as it is for him right now despite his rank which should already be wearing the Justice kanji on his back. When one would meet Kariba and realize how happy he really is with his life and how he accepts anything that comes his way, one can tell the man likes life quite much, and that's no lie. In fact, it's the most accurate assumption you can make about this person on a first basis. Kariba likes living life to its fullest and treats anything and everything the world throws at him as an important experience nobody would dare to give up, even if his life is on the line and he ends up having more chances of losing it than actually keeping it. For some reason, the smiling expression never dies so long as he can keep enjoying himself with whatever he's doing, in most cases preferring to go on a nice relaxing rest, just letting time pass by while he's enjoying the scenery around. Obviously, staying active and keeping things in order is also a great experience for him, but seeing how things go is also one of life's greatest rights in Kariba's eyes. When actually working his body and not laying down or watching his life pass, he would most likely have a much more hyper attitude, just as expected, which proves how he tries to extract every single detail from any event he takes part in, so long as he agrees with the case of course. Working as a Marine has its flaws, sure, but getting the right itself to sail the seas and watch the many different life forms around in sync is an amazing privilege in itself, and who better than Silver Elf knows that after what he's been through. Living life to its fullest is incredibly important in this person's eyes after he has been given a second chance, and after getting used to accepting whatever comes and goes, he has learned to like how the flow of life goes - be it starvation or satisfaction.
After his life, comes the obvious - woman. Kariba is a man. Woman are desired by men. Conclusion, woman are desired by Kariba as well, for all perverted, romantic, socializing or plain reasons that exist. Sure, one could say he thinks in a very cliche and plain way, but that much cannot be helped when you're a twenty one year old man that never had a girlfriend. With this kind of perception, it can be easily assumed Kariba treats women as tools or objects rather than people, but that's not true for a change: he requires the opposite sex just like anybody else and treats them with utter respect, as much as possible to make them feel good. That is, at least he wants to. Women are the true pride of men in his mind for they are capable of incredible magic no man will ever be capable of doing, and that is the creation of new life: giving birth. That alone is enough of a fact to make every woman out there into a goddess in Kariba's eyes, though the only way to reveal this perception of his is if he's asked by a friendly male friend he can drink with. Women by nature are much more beautiful than men, that's always how it has been for ages over ages and therefore must be taken care of to preserve such amazing masterpieces of god. Every detail about a woman's body is so much better than a man's in terms of material beauty, and letting it go to waste would be considered as such a bad act among men, to the point of actually sinning. Therefore, every woman should feel secure to her highest level, with most of the time the man being responsible for this feeling of security, so he believes. It's a shame Kariba can only handle woman in theory and nothing beyond that as his personality shows.
Woman come first to another obvious thing men tend to love, that being alcohol. Since he was young, in quite the odd and disturbing way, Kariba had first-person encounters with alcohol and the many kinds of drinks that are infused with it, causing him to steadily get used to the feeling of being drunk and not really caring about adding a little of alcohol into his own adventures to perhaps spice it up. Although the rum is the basic alcoholic drink given to Pirates, he can't help but love its taste for some reason, and the same goes for ale, perhaps it's because he himself used to be a pirate in the past. Kariba loves drinking with friends more than he likes women actually, finding it the most effective way to gain friends without having to say even a single word, the thing itself making the magic of bonding with other men and becoming drinking partners for no apparent special reason. To Kariba, alcohol also serves as a good encouragement for his problem with women, being a lot more 'sober' after getting drunk, ironically, only when trying to hit on one he likes. It is to be noted though, in any other time, alcohol affects him in the exact same way it affects everyone else. In a certain way...
After that comes Arts. It is odd and perhaps not the most predictable thing, but Kariba is a great fan of art, in any of its forms, be it music or paintings, abstracted or as clear as could be. He likes philosophy and treats even simple occupations and deeds as a form of art, his cooking skills being no different on that matter. Silver Elf enjoys art in all of its forms, with no clear preferred choice to a single form but rather just deal with whatever there is to reveal. Anything can be taken as a form of art if you have his eyes for perfection that constantly test everything around him, even if it really doesn't seem like it can fit in that category. Kariba's eye for arts has varied to literature, dance, music and martial arts as well, the most odd one being religion as a form of art. His eyes can appreciate the smallest details in the largest forms, be it a motionless human body with scars to cover decoration or a gigantic statue claimed to have absolute symmetry. It is thanks to this subject of culture as a form of art that Silver Elf strives to reveal the missing years of the void century, despite its prohibition by the world government.
Kariba tends to like riddles as well, the more mysterious and curiousity-awakening things of the world. A riddle, as percepted by him, is not merely a few tricky words in some catchy sentence, but much more. To him, a riddle could also mean a simple question that requires some effort to be solved, battle strategies in games and eventually real events, life threatening situations that require one to outsmart their pursuer to survive, even if the so-called chaser is nature itself. Kariba likes those thrills for some reason even if most of the time he 'solves the riddles' quickly, the riddle ending up being a chase, with him cornering targets. It is thanks to this that his luck led him to the legendary Golden Mesmer.

Lastly, it should be noted that for every person exists one weakness they will never be able to overcome, and Kariba is no exception. For him, it is unfortunately one of the things he finds amazingly charming, unfortunately found in every island (almost): curvacious, appealing woman. Sure, Kariba adores woman just like every other male, especially the more attractive ones, but they are used as his absolute weakness he cannot overcome without some cheap trick. To no one's knowledge, fortunately. Whenever he meets a woman he finds attractive, his entire personality crashes and he enters what he calls the '5 Stages of Pathetic Encounter', which usually is referred to lame encounters that fall in a second. In his case, it begins with disturbingly, his eyes widening a little at the sight. He then immediately stops whatever he was doing at that time, most likely allowing anything he held to just fall down (unless his conciousness is fully aware that thing must not be dropped). It continues with a simple drop of sweat going down the side of his head and his knnes beginning to shake in immediate stress. His mind at this state is in complete turmoil. The last part of the five stages is a sentence, the very same sentence that always comes out quickly with a slight stammering at the start, in cases of an incredibly attractive woman having his tone break in the middle: "G-,Go out with me." That said, almost all the while he will move a lot, a LOT slower when in encounter, sort of making him a sitting duck. He becomes the easiest of targets only seeing a beautiful woman, and can't even bring himself to the point where he can even touch her (who knows what will happen). To everyone's expectations, after his five stages he's rejected immediately, getting into a few minutes of depression. This weakness can be overcome if Kariba can't see the woman, if she has a mate/boyfriend/husband/complicated though loving relationship with a male Kariba is familiar with, or if he's drunk.
