Tsukai grinned as he saw the girl slide backwards, impressed she managed to hold her footing on the huge burst of speed, only he could do that thus far. The other men having had to cling to the ropes to get by, he chuckled and reached down beside himself and tugged out a cigar, lighting it as he stuck it between his lips and pushed some of his braids and dreadlocks out of his face eying the currents and such before nodding and grinning to her. "I see ... I won't ask who ''asked'' you to do all that. But the Staff-Sword suits yah." He chuckled and turned heading forward he nodded, "Engine room it is." He said light heartily before he knelt down and leapt down the middle of the stairs landing with a thud on the second level, about two stories below sea level, as the third level was on sea level. He glanced up, "When you get down here just turn right. Its the first door on the left ... can't miss it." He then followed his own directions turning right and the sound of a heavy door opening and closing echoed uwpard.
When she got down the stairs she'd find that on her left was a huge storage room area, and below seemed to be a massive water, and ammunition storage that took up the entire bottom level. As she turned right she'd see the large metal door pained over with bright yellow and a 'WARNING! ENTER WITH CAUTION!' written across it in neat lettering. When she opened the huge metal door she'd find a massive room, taking up half the level, the room was what housed the Engine. The engine itself was the size of a small trailer, it was a massive rotating cylinder that held ten slots that could be opened and closed on each side, at its end facing her was a large open mouth that a few men were pouring large buckets of sea water in. Underneath it was a massive square of hard steel, filled with charcoal, flames of white hot heat, and coals radiating heat waves. Pipes zigzagged across walls, and pressure gauges stuck out from everywhere with different chains hanging from the ceiling with handles at their ends obviously made for tugging.
Levers covered the walls, alongside a few buttons and switches, and a floating foot-high amount of steam covered the floor, anyone without shoes would likely get minor burns on their feet working here. She'd Find Tsukai leaning against one of the walls examining a few pressure gauges and tapping one a few times before it seemed to reset and he nodded content glancing back at her. "Welcome to the Angels Wing Engine room." he said simply and leaned back watching her letting her take everything in as he tilted his head a bit to the side out of curiosity, sure there wasn't electricity yet during this time, but even if it was, this steam engine was specifically designed to be up to par for the next 150 years, as such he wasn't worried really. He closed an eye slowly as he waved to a nearby man, "Go check the fuel stations for me, we need to make sure none of the flames backfired into the engine or the fuel tanks, if so we'r all going to blow up." The man gave a laugh and nodded, heading tword a side-room.

Ira thought it wise that Tsukai decided not to do any prodding about her past. Being a somewhat introverted person she wasn't exactly willing to spill her guts to him so soon. She merely nodded to his courtesy and began to trail after him as he agreed to show her to the engine room. She followed him over to the stairs, when he knelt and then leaped down to land effortlessly, despite the great height.
She stared somewhat blankly after him as she stood at the top of the stairs, shaking her head a little as she wondered what sort of man could do such a thing. She hastily took her naginata apart once more, segmenting it into three pieces that she hooked into notches on her belt that were clearly made with said pieces in mind. Her hips swayed slightly as she walked, weight slightly more to the left than usual because of the naginata, but she seemed not to notice as she made her way in the direction that Tsukai had told her to head in.
Before long she found herself standing in front of a door that was cautioning her. She ignored it with ease and headed into the massive room, her icy eyes wandering. There was a mist rolling across the floor, though she could not feel the heat on her feet (due to her large, sturdy boots), the rest of her could feel it (it was a moist heat, unlike that of a forge, so it bothered her slightly). She spotted Tsukai and headed to him without touching anything, somewhat afraid to get too close to anything that she could actually screw up.
"Feels like a sauna in here," she quietly commented, her eyes drifting around the room that was cluttered with technology and levers and buttons that she did not understand. She felt a little lost, and for a moment this feeling reflected outwards, but she was quick to put up her barrier once more, as she always did.
"It looks very complicated..." She then mumbled, her eyes still scanning the room, she rubbed a little at the back of her neck. I was expecting something that I could actually understand... Maybe fix if it broke down... I can't do anything with any of these things...

He smiled softly at her sudden lack of Enthusiasm as she entered, gently he took her hand and pulled her over tword him. "You'd think it is huh ... we all acted like that when we first saw this monster, but really it isn't that complicated at all." He released her patting her hand before beginning to point to things, he went slow for her, making sure she actually understood it, and leaving her plenty of time for questions. First he pointed to the gauge. "See the numbers ...? This is basically easy, if any of them go past 55, we have a problem in whatever pipe its connected to. So all you'd have to do is tap along the pipe, until you didn't get a hollow sound but instead as if you hit a wall ... thats where the problem is." He smiled a bit and then after giving her ample time to ask anything, and answering her he'd take her over tword the wall of levers. "See here ...? All this is is a lever to shut off, or on each pipe for repairs, so say that pipe we just looked at was having issues and was above a 50, you found the section of pipe that was messed up, all you do is follow the pipe back to here and its lever."
He pointed at the lever, "Turn it on to the red, meaning its off ... give it a few seconds, and the steam will stop in that pipe. Then all you do is Undo that section of pipe thats clogged, clean it out and re-apply it, before turning th lever back on. Done." He chuckled and again waited to see if she had any questions at all, it was simply really there wasn't anything complicated about it thus far, he then lead her over to the main engine. "Far as this thing goes ... the only way it breaks i if it literally bust from cold water going in and hot steam and fire going out." He pointed her tword one crack that was forming along the water-hole. "See ...? Thats im sure you know how to fix already. For those all you have to do is remove the section." He took a moment to show her the bolts that held the ''sections'' together. "And then we'll go by wind power, shut the engine down while you use the blacksmith to hammer and repair the metal alot like you would an armor torso I would think."
He then pointed up, "The only other things are the chains, which control the amount of steam we release outward. Red is minor for a small speed burst, one is moderate for a medium boost, another is a large one which is only a bit slower then what we did before. Then pulling the fourth one thats red will release gasses along with the steam for us to Ignight and move at our fastest speed that you already saw. He smiled a bit and motioned around. "So ... Still think its complicated overall?" He arched a brow tilting his head, she had a engineers mind from waht he could tell, alot like his own so he was certain she likely undertood it, but then again you never know so it was better to make sure and not just assume. He also glanced tword the side door and smiled, "And whether you do or not, there's one job Im sure you can do excellently no matter how technologically inapt you may or may not be." He nodded tword the door.

Ira looked to her hand as it was grabbed, and she was pulled slightly towards him. It made her feel uncomfortable, and her icy look would have been more than enough to long deter anyone from bothering with her, but he insisted on doing such things in spite of the cold looks she gave him.
... This one is dangerous... She opted, breathing a little easier when he released her somewhat rough hand, she followed his pointing as he began to explain the machinery to her. She listened intently, making note of the most important points, she extended one of her hands gently to touch as a gauge, running her fingers gently over it, as she had a habit of doing to get a 'feel for' whatever it was she was doing. Similarly she gently tapped a pipe with the back of her knuckle, familiarizing herself with what it should sound like. Everything sounded straight forwards, and so she really didn't have any questions to ask them as they moved on to other things.
She followed after him as he explained the levers to her, nodding lightly aas he explained that red meant 'off'. Easy enough. They then headed for the main engine, which she gazed at with somewhat wide eyes than usual. "Hmm," she mused, almost absently as her feet finally touched somewhat familiar ground. Before long, he showed her the chains that controlled the steam, and she more or less understood how everything worked - or rather how to fix most of it.
"It's not so bad," she answered. He seemed confident in something about it, and gestured towards a side door. It didn't take a genius to figure out what was on the other side of the door, but she wanted to see the facilities for herself, so she somewhat timidly eased forwards, opening the door and peering into the side room with a half curious, half blank expression

He smiled nodding, she understood everything as he expected, good. He slowly stood up strait and followed her as she neared the large door and opened it, taking advantage to get an eyeful of her rear end, before chuckling and sliding around gently nudging her inside and closing it behind them he pointed to the five huge tanks inside, they probably held around five hundred gallons each, and the place reached of fuel and oils. He slowly moved forward whether she followed or not, and placed a hand on one of the tanks. "These are pretty simple, they hold the oils and grease from animal fats, veggie oils, and mechanical oils that we find on occasion." He pointed to the pipe that connected each of the tanks together before going up and branching off heading to ether side of the ship. "These are what fuel are Flamers." he said as he moved forward and rapped knuckle against the Canister with a dull ring. "Basically, all we do is signal down and the people here release the fuel outwards, we here the hiss or smell the gas on deck, and hit the flint lock at the entrance of the pipe combined with a wind burst ... and flamer activated."
He grinned before he then walked over to the nearby side-room that had only a doorway no real door, an air current flowed in keeping the gasoline smell away, before he entered the room hopefully with her behind. As she came in she'd see basically a Huge black iron Furnace, as well as everything you'd find in a blacksmith, a basic of fresh and sea water both for different metals. Sword Molds, hammers of different types, weights, and sized, two different sized and materialized anvils, even a small pot to the side containing an odd bubbling blue-clear metal or rock that seemed to be constantly heated. "Seastone." He pointed to this, "We dont have much though." He then nodded tword the furnace and chair, as well as a small table and the like. "This is yours now, you'l get your room on teh fifth level and this for your workspace as well as outside as well, Im also making you my first mate ... and my student." He turned and grinned, "Your Will is strong enough. I'll teach you Haki."
With that he turned and exited the ship, slowly heading up the stairs he let her consider this not waiting for her answer as he tapped hi foot a few times on the ground before disappearing in a Soru, appearing on the very top of the boat again he slowly sat down and leaned back grinning as he waited patiently for her to appear, as well as wait to see if any other sips or anything interesting would happen from his perch. Glancing at the deck occasionally waiting for her to come up, he slowly stood up when she would come, not caring if the crew saw or heard he called down calmly, "So how about it Isa-chan?! Want to be the First Mate ...?" He grinned slowly, all of the other pirates jaws dropped a bit in surprise, you didn't normally offer a Female that position, let alone a female that just now joined the crew with such a weird neutral opinion one everything! But Tsukai was smiling softly, he had seen her will, and a glimpse at the real her ... she was just hiding, and he didnt mind that.

Outside looking in: "We've Spotted the ship Capt, its not to far, we'll come up along side it for you, so you's can cross over as pa usual." Said the Iron sight's, Rocky he was the ships Spotter, he could almost see the whits of a mans eyes a mile away with no telescoping equipment. The ship in simple terms was the motherboard, the exact ship they were headed torwards and were ready to dock, in this case it was not harmful, it was a part of our fleet. Then a Fiery Woman with flowing Green hair popped out of a cabin on the opposite end of the ship, she was wearing a traditional jacket and her moccasins as usual, she was also armed with her Three swords. She was the best medic so far nad could heal many wounds, even purify a persons heart.
IC: "Everything seems to be of order." Kitsune shouted " lets try and get a move on!" she shouted once more, i wish to be there soon, but the other ship was just floating along and her Harvest Blitz aka Angel' Heart was the third fastest ship ever made. So they indeed did catch up rather quickly. "I dont have all day here!" she barked and the boat sped up to its top speed, until a moment later when it caught up to the Angel's Wings and dropped down so they were evenly placed. Kitsune through up a rope and climbed to the tip top of the boat, looking in and saw her Captain. "Kitsune Blaze, reporting for duty sir!"

The room he showed her into didn't exactly hold what she had been expecting. She arched a brow slightly at the large tanks, wondering what on earth he expected her to do with them, she scratched gently at the back of her head, wondering if this was Tsukai's idea of a joke. In spite of her confusion she listened to his words, about how the ship used these for flamers, or something like that.
They didn't linger here long, and as Tsukai moved forwards she followed, glancing around she stalked several steps behind him. This room she felt much more at home in. It held many of the things that she had seen and used before. This was what she had expected the first room to be - a blacksmith's workplace. She eased herself further into this room, admiring it silently, she ran her finger tips gingerly along the molds and a large, cold anvil that was sitting nearby. The familiarity of these things eased her mind, but the blue-ish color material soon held the better part of her attention.
"Seastone," she murmured, approaching it cautiously, she watched it idly, recalling having heard about it before, about the strange powers that it held, but this was her first time actually encountering the stuff. The girl leaned in slightly for a better look, and though she were quiet and her face expressionless, her eyes were clearly fascinated by it.
"Huh?" She asked as he started talking to her again, her mind too distracted to put up the cold front at first, she soon uprighted herself, gazing at him intently as he continued to tell her that the workplace was hers, and that she was to be his first mate, as well as his student. She stared blankly as he said this, uncertain of what exactly to think of it.
"My... Will?" She echoed dully, but he had already gone! Without giving her so much as a second to respond, he left! Ira hurried after him, but when she exited the rooms he was no where to be seen! She placed her hands irritably on her hips for a moment before dodging up the staircases and making her way towards the deck.
Where'd he go?! She wondered, but soon his voice rang out and answered her questions. Ira couldn't help but wonder what this guy was thinking, and she felt a little giddy from everything that had happened in the run of a single day, but he seemed pretty certain that this was what he wanted.
"... Okay," she called back, slowly crossing her arms over her chest as she noted the fact that the crew was floored by his question, "I'll be your first mate... Captain Tsukai," she said, and did a bit of a curtsy - though it was hard to tell if it were a genuine one or if this was merely her brand of sarcasm.
She heard something off to the side, and spotted a green haired woman clambering aboard. Ira might have questioned it, had she not immediately reported to Tsukai. The blond blinked a little, eventually shrugging it off.

He grinned hearing her answer and nodded as the crew again was floored by her response, He hopped down the seven stories landing with a thunk before slowly rising up and dusting himself off blinking a few times and looking at her he grinned. "Excellent, I have my new Student and First mate." He glanced over and smiled even bigger as he saw Kitsune rise up and salute, "Oh Good! my other favorite girl is here." He chuckled and walked forward tword the saluting young woman, "Kitsune-chaan." He grinned and kissed her cheek before tilting his head. "Hows the ship I got you treating you deary?" He grinned and crossed his arms over his chest tilting his head curiously as he gave Kitsunes bottom a pat and turned her tword Ira. "Kitsune, Ira, Ira, Kitsune." He sad cheerfully, and slid his hands into hi pocket calmly. "Ira is my new First Mate, Engineer, and Blacksmith. Kitsune is my Second Ship, the Angels Hearts, Captain. As such my Sub-Captain so to speak."
He then yawned giving a stretch before he turned and slid his hands boredly into his pockets and focused first on Kitsune. "Report." He said calmly as he tilted his head and crossed his arms with a yawn. "After that I have training for both of you." He grinned a bit and glanced around as everyone was staring, one of them whispered. "Anyone else notice the Cap'n has alot of female officers now ...?" His eyebrow twitched. "GET BACK TO WORK!!" They winced and grinned chuckling as they hurried off to get their work done as he muttered and focused once again on Kitsune and Ira, tilting his head a bit. "Sorry ... about that." He muttered before crossing his arms once again. "Now then, report dear." He said again this item without interruption as he watched them both curiously, steam filled the air around them slowly as was customary, the two boats drifting along froward at a steady 60 miles per hour, an easy speed for both of the incredibly fast ships.
Tsukai glacned at the sky as he waited for the answer, curiously watching as the birds and such flew overhead, a few men having fun shooting the birds down for dinner or snacks. Tsukai sighed shaking his head at that and focused on them, after she had given her report, he would calmly raise a hand and smile. "Good. Now ... next order of business, Kitsune-dear your going to travel alongside us now, we'r heading west for the Pirates in the East Blue here to up our bounties and train you two u .. and who knows, maybe gain some more crew members." He chuckled and then slowly placed his fingers together. "So for that reason ... Im going to train both of you in something I know your ready for. Haki." Everyone o teh ship stopped and stared at him, "Captain ... your ganna teach both of them that? But you said none of us were even close to ready!!" He smiled softly, "You arnt. You have incredible passion, but you dont have the willpower to learn Haki ... but these two are your superiors, you will rely on them as much as me to protect you from stronger opponents ... for that reason they will learn, as well their wills are ten times any of yours, no offense intended." A few others grumbled ... but they didn't complain anymore, slowly going back to work as he focused his gaze on the two. "So ... Inserted?"

She grinned back at Tsukai, "well first of all, its my ship, but i do enjoy those canons and that extra wood, it helps alot with those stupid mermaids." She was grabbed up and moved torwards another lady, her name was Ira, it was a quite pretty name, and a girl was a sightfor sore eyes on a Pirate ship. "Dont forget doctor, the Master Doctor around these parts. You would think he would remember that from all the sicknesses I've gotten him through." Then she recieved a pat on the ass, and let out a small squeak, she liked it when hedid that, more then he would know. Then she was told to make her report on the Fishman in the West, where they were headed. "Well i cant say the samr for the merpeople, but those fishman have recided and cooled down after the marines attacked last month. Everything seems to be come in those waters, and my ship recievd 0 injuries, along with my crew. Overall it was a positive scout, and nothing else to report." She looked down then back up at Tsukai. "Oh and ive had our ship tied up to yours as to travel together in a perfect based harmony, i will be staying here with you lot and my crew has pushed their canons to the other side and is waiting it out there." She looked into his eyes recieving a small amount of approval, and winking at him "As for your offer, I will hae to Think on it, but for now it would indeed be a yes, it will go nicely with my 'Top secret skill' I've been training."

Ira nodded her head softly in greeting to the other female as they were introduced. She watched the way Tsukai interacted with Kitsune with a bit of interest, not because she was jealous, by any means, but because it made her come to a very simple conclusion.
Ah. He's a lech, she nodded again, this time to herself, and turned her eyes to the other female for a moment, eying her up carefully. She seemed to take considerable interest in Tsukai, so it really didn't take Ira much to assume that there was either something between the two, or perhaps unrequited love. Which was one of the many reasons why she generally didn't really bother with people, they were too troublesome with their feelings and runaway emotions. They were predictable and unpredictable all at once. It was infuriating, at times, and simply easier to pretend to be mute and have the world ignore her.
After a few moments the girl yawned, bored once again. Her cold eyes cast over her shoulder and she studied the ocean for a few moments before moving to lean herself against some railing nearby - still listening to what the others were saying, as well as the crewmen that seemed offended that they were not being taught this 'haki' stuff that Tsukai knew.
Personally, Ira didn't have the faintest clue what he was talking about, but it must have been something interesting. It had even put that female marine from before in her place.
"Haki," she murmured to herself, raising a hand to rub gently at her chin as she rest more weight against the railing, the pieces of her disassembled naginata digging into her slightly.
